Record-breaking Friday?

This will be a big night for 2014 Clemson four-star quarterback commit Deshaun Watson of Gainesville (Ga.).

It could be a record-setting one, too.

His team is playing at Whitewater (Ga.) in the state semifinals.

But Watson, the No. 111 overall prospect and No. 4 dual-threat quarterback in the 247Sports rankings for 2014, can do more than get Gainesville one step closer to a state championship. With a good performance, he could become Georgia's all-time career passing leader.

This season, Watson is 265 for 374 for 3,480 yards and 46 TDs. He now has 8,819 career passing yards in high school.

The Georgia career record is 9,062 yards, set by Zach Stanford of Metter (2001-04).

Follow our LIVE blog from his game to see if Watson can become the No. 1 passer in Peach State history. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.
