Olney (Md.) Good Counsel four-star linebacker Dorian O'Daniel announced his commitment to Clemson on Saturday evening.
"I want to thank everyone and anyone who supported me throughout the whole recruiting process in any way, shape, or form," O'Daniel wrote on his Facebook page. "God has truly blessed me, and I am proud to say I am committed to the University of Clemson. Go Tigers!!!"
This weekend, O'Daniel visited the Clemson campus.
Ranked as the nation's No. 11 outside linebacker and No. 128 prospect overall, O'Daniel chose the Tigers over offers from the likes of Michigan, Ohio State, California, Iowa, Maryland, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, South Carolina, Virginia and Wisconsin.
This past fall, the 6-foot-1, 205-pound O’Daniel was dominant on both sides of the ball in helping lead Good Counsel to a 12-0 record and a third-straight WCAC championship. He registered 38.5 tackles including a team-high 16.5 stops for loss and five sacks. On offense, O'Daniel finished with 897 yards rushing on just 127 carries and 17 touchdowns.
O'Daniel is the seventh commit for Clemson in the class of 2013. He will conclude his prep career as a U.S. Army All-American.
