Brad Brownell will lead Clemson in an upset bid against Duke.

Last meeting: Last season in Clemson, Duke had to overcome a late rally by the Tigers, who cut a 13-point lead to 68-64 in the final minute on two 3-pointers by Andre Young. Duke made their free throws late to win 73-66, and Clemson fell to Duke for the 26th time in the last 28 meetings.

Last game: Clemson came from behind to pull within three (66-63) in the final half minute against Florida State. A turnover on the in-bounds pass erased the chance of a tie in the remaining seconds, and FSU used solid shooting from the line to pull out a 71-66 victory in Littlejohn. Duke continued its balanced attack on offense to beat Wake Forest 80-62 in Durham on Saturday to stay undefeated on the season and to open ACC play with a win.

Season story: Duke has clearly established themselves as the best team in the ACC. With out-of-conference wins over No. 3 Kentucky, No. 2 Louisville and No. 4 Ohio State, the Blue Devils could not have started the season on a better note. All five starters are averaging double figures in scoring, shooting 48 percent.
Quotable: “Because of all their shooting, you’re afraid to go down and double.” – Clemson head coach Brad Brownell on defending Duke’s Mason Plumlee

PG Rod Hall (6’1”, 210, So.) -- 6.5 PPG

Keys to the game:
1. Defend the perimeter -- Duke is shooting 42 percent from behind the arc this season.

3. Knock down open shots -- In all 5 losses this season, Clemson has scored less than 75 points.
