FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- The physical development that University School defensive end Richard Yeargin III has made in recent months is fairly noticeable. In January, the 6-foot-4 four-star prospect weighed in at 208-pounds at the Under Armour Junior Combine.
He now claims to be up to 225-pounds four months later.
“I got there by hard work, dedication and eating right and in the weight room,” Yeargin III said. “I feel a little more confident when I’m going against an offensive linemen. I feel like I have more explosion in my hips and in my thighs. I just feel like a whole new man.”
Yeargin III claims to have been in contact with Michigan, Notre Dame, Florida and Clemson most recently and the Wolverines sent a coach down last week -- the opening week of spring practice in the state of Florida.
“The defensive coordinator Greg Mattison and the linebackers coach Roy Manning, they’ve been getting some highly recruited guys that are highly recommended and they just want to add to the class with a guy like me,” Yeargin III said. “He was cool, we couldn’t talk much. He was sizing me up and he said I was a good ball player and he wants me to come to Michigan.”
However, the last visit Yeargin III took was to Florida.
