Baseball; Was this a sign of things to come?

This weekend our Tigers took 2 out of 3 games from NCS. We won the first 2 then lost yesterday. What would have happen yesterday if both our players did not get thrown out at home? We will never know!
My question is, Was this weekend a sign that our team is better than we thought? We have a lot of freshman on the team.

I agree Cory just hope we keep growing as a team and win more games. Its time for our Tigers to get back to the days teams hated to see us coming! We need to win an ACCC..or at least play for one. This year is the year to show improvement!

Cory, how would you compair NCS to USC? If im right NCS was ranked 8th and USC was 7th.

I would say that SCAR is better, but not that much better than Pack.
Clemson has lacked confidence in this recent stretch against their rival down the road. Clemson has played tentatively against SCAR due to their recent dominance in the series. This is more evident in some of the veteran guys.
Freshmen Clate Schmidt dominated that lineup in Greenville.
The Tigers played to their potential against a very solid NC State squad.
This team will continue to improve as the season progresses. Gossett has gone from mid-week starter to Friday ace. Schmidt was pitching against sixteen year olds this time last year. Firth has moved from the bullpen to weekend rotation.
There is a lot of responsibility placed on players who were role players last year (Boulware, Baum) or freshmen (Duggar, Krieger, Gibson). This team just needs time to develop.

I agree but the packs pitching isnt as good as chickens from watching them. Maybe we saw the ball better against their lefties but we didnt against the chickens

NC State's Friday starter is better than anyone on USCe's roster.
