  • Bill and I will be covering the game tomorrow live at Littlejohn. After the last two games this seems like one Clemson could win oddly enough.

  • The season has been a disaster our two senior "leaders" have effected the entire team and it came to a head last this week. I wish coach would of let Jennings go after his arrest. Brownell's future could of depended on that decision.
    I'm expecting about 5k in LJC tomorrow. So many people had high hopes for BB, it's ashame

  • Wouldn't quite call the season a disaster, but given the talent level and youth this is about what I expected out of this team. Making the NIT would have been an accomplishment. Youth + Lack of Senior leadership + possibly having your 2 best shooters out for the year is going to result in inconsistency on the offensive end.

    A lot of fans are upset with Brownell, but I don't think he can really be judged until 2 years from now. Purnell really left this program high and dry, and with basketball recruiting you have to start connecting with these kids when they are sophomores to have a legitimate chance. Brownell has proven he can coach but questions remain on the recruiting end and I think those will be answered with the next 2 classes. We have to remember that he isn't exactly working with ideal facilities or basketball heritage here.

    I toally agree people dont seem to undertsand what kind of mess he inherited and are expecting unrealistic results immediately.He does however need to get better on the recruiting trail and I think the new assistant he hired will be able to do that. Clemson however needs to make a commitment to winning in basketball and I believe that will happen with the new hire of D Rad as AD.Brownell is going to a gun fight with a toy plastc gun, he needs help. Cant expect him to perform miracles if he doesnt get help from the administration and the fans. Im not going to even get into how pissed I am at this fan base when it comes to basketballsupport!

  • Sitting courtside for the start of the game...Brownell changing things up a little bit w/ Filer & Roper starting at both guard positions. Needed to try something different after a season full of slow starts...can't keep getting down double digits by the 2nd TV timeout of the game.

    You can also include Scott Wood in that statement. Good start for the Tigers...State looks lazy with the ball and not showing much intensity.

  • 4:59 to go in the 1st...Clemson still clearly playing with more intensity and hustle over the Wolfpack. Need to start taking more advantage of the State turnovers and increase this lead before the half.

    Gottfried was able to get this team together come tournament time last year...but talent wise this team has no business being .500 in conference (on another down year for the ACC nonetheless). It's almost as if the ghost of Sid Lowe is still haunting this program.

    As has ACC football gone down hill so has ACC basketball. Although Miami looks really really good. Its possible the national title could come back to the acc.I agree Ncst should not be .500 no excuse

  • HUGE rebound and put-back by Booker off Jennings' second straight miss from long range. This would be a big win if Clemson can hold on...matching NC State with a 5-6 conference record. Both of these teams are on about the same talent level...right? :)

  • This team has suffered a lot of gut punches this year but keep fighting back...looks like Brownell once again will have to rally this team before traveling to Ga Tech Thursday night. Stay tuned for a Take 5 summary to be posted soon...

  • As Bill and I watched you could see NCST was on the ropes but wouldn't go away. This is a game Clemson could have put some distance between itself and NCST and built a comfortable lead.

    You can't let teams like NCST hang around. On the winning shot the one jump shooter you couldn't leave open was wide open. Credit NCST for recognizing that play being there.
