From the Twitter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Michael Carvell:

I'm told Robert Nkemdiche's mother read all the nasty comments on TigerIllustrated after last week's #Clemson de-commit
This is one of the reasons 247Sports tries to maintain civility on our boards. We don't want people takings shots at kids and/or their families.
And you guys and gals have -- for the most part -- been GREAT about that.
We thank you for that.

Once again, Michael Carvell stirring the pot. What a sad and pathetic human being.

But don't see something beyond that?
People taking shots at 17 year olds and their families over what?
His mother deserved every negative thing that was said about her....I don't recall anyone on TI saying anything bad about Robert. She is just looking for reasons to leave Clemson in the dust.
I have never posted a negative thing about a recruit or their parent and I never will it is just not in my character, and I think a lot of people should learn that lesson, with that being said in this situation I think its funny how should could go on the website and read every negative thing posted about her. In that amount of time she could've just taken the time driven to Clemson to see what it was actually all about instead of reading what a small percentage of the fanbase thought about her after she bashed the school in interviews. I'm not saying it is right, but I am saying that if you go to a message board for anything you should expect to get your feelings hurt because that is where the 1% of the people who are most passionate about a topic go to voice their opinions. Thats just my opinion on the matter.
I think you missed the point if the post.
To many 40+ yr old juveniles out there
I think because the mom made it known she didn't want to talk to the Clemson staff the fans are angry. Now this would be true if the shoe was on the other foot at any school. No one wants to hear that in public.
Bottom line; Nkemdiche is a recruit. His mom is openly speaking for him. Not a thing in the world anyone can do about that whether you like her comments, don't or have no opinion.
Every major college football program in the country would have had some fans respond the same way some of ours did if this had happened to them. If a player had committed to Ole Miss b/c he loved it and his mother forced him to go to Clemson, some Ole Miss fans would be taking shots at her left and right. Carvell knows this and still used the overboard posts of a few rabid fans to further his agenda. Unethical as all get out, IMO.
Keith is absolutely right about this. Well said on every point. There are some sad folks on the interweb.
This is a good discussion, though. Interesting comments. I like hearing both sides
People obviously shouldn't insult his mother but Carvell is the most irresponsible journalist I've ever had the misfortune of reading
I should get Michael to do a Q&A with our readers.
Man, would that get ugly
Keith, that might not go so well for him with Clemson fans lol. Georgia fans maybe.
Pretty sure they hate him, too.
For that matter, so does the Ole Miss base
