Rob isnt coming to Clemson. Reading that article leaves no doubt. And before all the Rebs get on here and talk about how it's because how great Ole Miss is...that's irrelevant. If Denzel were at, say, North Carolina, then Rob would be going to North Carolina. But in recruiting, take what you can get and make no apologies.

Actually u are wrong Rob likes ole miss he likes coach freeze as u read in the article and is friends with numerous player on the ole miss roster ask Denzel how much he likes ole miss !!!!
Point is, if his brother weren't at Ole Miss, Rob would never have stepped foot on Ole Miss's campus. Again, use whatever advantage you can get. Not bashing Ole Miss. Just stating the obvious.
I think your absolutly right. You would have thought that GA would have been quicker to offer Denzel than they were. They are really the ones kicking themselves right now.
Alot of people don't realize that Robert is best friends with 4 current players there specifically Cheif Brown why do u think he has visited 7 plus times ole miss is taking the right approach at rec Robert and that's a hands off approach I respect coach freeze alot he is being considered for coach of the yr and he def deserves it
Don't forget that CJ's mom didn't want him to come to Clemson nor did Tony Steward's. They were both their own man and made their own decision. Still a lot of things in Clemson's favor with teammates on board here, HS coach, etc. Still, I'm not disputing that this public declaration by his mother doesn't open the door for him to decommit. It sure makes it much easier in the public's eye.
She speaks about the magical nature of them playing together in HS and wanting to recapture that. She has to learn to let her sons spread their wings and become their own man. They're not going to be able to play together in the NFL for sure (assuming both were able to make it). They're not both likely to work for the same business after football. Time to let your boys develop their own independence now Mrs. Nkemdiche.
I also have to agree with Swag. She sounds very selfish to me. Wouldn't she want to make sure her son has the best opportunity, not only at a high profile football program, but one with exceptional academics? Clearly she just wants to fly in from Nigeria and only have to go to one school. She doesn't even sound like she's that close to Robert to me. She said Robert has never mentioned how much he loves Clemson, yet in many interviews upon committing and after the fact, he exclaims how much he just loves Clemson. I can imagine if she is living overseas and he is here, the relationship may not be as close as one might think.
I'm not saying he won't still end up at Ole' Miss or that it is a bad choice, just saying I think we still have skin in the game. More than most want to admit.
You dont realize that he is friends with 4 people who are headed to Clemson or already at Clemson.
He also has lived with these people and consider them a family.
The driving force in this is his mother not giving Clemson a chance, or even making the effort to talk to Clemson.
Same post different day
He will still be a Tiger when it's all said and done.
Speaking as someone whose gone through the process, if a kid has wishes to go to a school a mother will do whatever they can to give that school an opportunity to grow on them. I don't buy "I don't have time to travel everywhere" statement one bit. It's only two schools RK says he's torn b/t. If she really wanted to she could head to Clemson, have 1on1 convo with any/all coaches and be back before school ends or practice for that matter. I honestly don't think she wants to even speak with Clemson. If RK chooses Ol Miss then I hope it's where he truly wishes to be and not doing it b/c in the end his mom is happy she got her wish.
his mom is a certifiable nut. not much you can do about that. hopefully he goes with with his preference, which is clemson, and not his mom's. whichever he chooses, i'm sure he'll end up in the NFL.
from a football standpoint, the choice is clear. but as with most kids, there are more factors in play for him than just program quality. i think he'll ultimately sign with ole miss rather than the other programs on his list, all of which are vastly superior in every way from a pure football standpoint.
