Football Scoop says this:
Florida: Sources tell us South Carolina defensive line coach Brad Lawing has accepted the same position on Will Muschamp's staff.
I will try to get a reaction out of Dexter Wideman as soon as I have time.

Big, big loss for South Carolina...for multiple reasons.

WOW HUGE HUGE loss
Update from Tony Morrell
3:17 update - I'm now told this is "close" to happening and doesn't appear to be a ploy on Lawing's part to land a raise at USC.

What happened to the great Bryant Young that they effectively use to recruit against us ?
The bag man has left the building
Good question unless their gonna split the coaching up like we do
Mangus and Whammy are aces.
Whose Wammy? Elliot sure has been on fire also...we need for somebody to get him out of there quickly
Bryant Young has coached DTs only
So Im assuming lawing is goona coach DEs?
Shurburtt is saying this is a done deal. Also, I found this line interesting (and shocking) from his article:
"There has not been an offseason since Spurrier has been at South Carolina without at least one assistant coaching change."
Same for Dabo too ironically.
Good programs lose assistants. It's the nature of the beast.
Exactly. Chickens losing their bag man is really huge. No amount of spin by their media can downplay that.
But at least one assistant every year? That's not normal
"Coach cheese" saw the writing on the wall he was the weakest link. Unlike Lawing.
It's perfectly normal. Nothing odd there.
I wonder if Whammy has started contacted high school coaches already?
You may be correct, but I would like to know which schools have lost at least one assistant every year for the last 7 years. My guess is it ain't many
Cory pointed out above that the same has happened to Dabo.
When you're a strong program, people come gunning for your coaches.
Nonetheless, this one has the potential to hurt South Carolina much worse than the others. That much is for sure.
Dabo off the top of my head has lost Powell, Napier, Steele, Rumph, Scott and Cheese.

Will be interesting to see who they go after to replace him. Have to figure it will be a good recruiter more than anything.
Good call Cory.
JC mentioned he would go after Chris Rumph.
