I'm a big college football fan, so I like to take a look at games each week and venture a guess. As the season continues, I'll go into more detail about matchups, and why I pick certain teams. If I missed a game that interests you, throw it out there.
Ball St. @ Clemson - Clemson... we score early and often, and the defense plays well against what will be a tougher test than many think.
East Carolina @ South Carolina - South Carolina... but it will be close until the end. ECU will score points.
Miami @ KSTATE - I'm gonna take UM in what seems to be an upset, but they're not bad.
PSU @ UVA - UVA
AU @ Miss. St - AU
UNC @ WF - UNC
USC @ Syracuse - USC ( but I think Cuse puts some points up)
UF @ TAMU - TAMU
Wisconsin @ Oregon St. - Wisconsin... but I think this could be a dangerous game for them
Washington @ LSU - LSU
Nebraska @ UCLA - I'm taking this as an upset pick.... UCLA
UGA @ Mizzou - I think it will be close throughout, but UGA finds a way
Oklahoma St. @ Arizona - Rich Rod will eventually win here... OKST
Here are my picks:
Clemson - Ball State will move the ball on us a bit
SCar - They win by at least 24, Shaw won't be running too many zone option reads this week
Kansas State - Tough call here, but Miami gave up over 500 yards to BC last week... not good
Virginia - Penn State is just in a state of disarray right now and will be for a while
UNC - Wins convincingly, Tar Holes run away with it in 2nd half
USC - At least they aren't playing the pathetic Pitt Panthers but seriously I mean come on, its Sryacuse... Not even close
Florida - Not buying the A&M SEC opener hype, Aggie offenese is even worse than Florida's... and that's bad
Wisconsin - No idea what kind of team the Beavers have this year, like it matters anyways
LSU - Not believing the over 20 point spread for this one. Huskies are better than that and LSU's starting LT is done for the year... LSU wins but not by 20 or more
Nebraska - Ditto for UCLA, no idea what to expect here
UGA - Mizzou comes out emotionally fired up in the first half and keeeps it close but UGA wins by 9
Oklahoma State - Pokes win big on the road, Rich Rod doesn't have the pieces yet

Come on Coach - it's easy without the spread!

I know.... I'm just a straight up guy.... never gamble or even look at the spread....
I don't even know what it is for any of the games.
That's what four kids under five will do for you... just give me the easy way!
Mizzou (that's right)
Arizona vs Okie State should be a great one. I like Zona here in this spot, especially getting 10.5-11.5 at home. Its a game everyone will chase their days losses with. Rich Rod's offense put up some yards last week, but Toledo is no slouch. The Rockets have athletes at the skill positions.
Okie State bringing in a freshman quarterback, making his second start, now in hostile environment in Tucson. Look for the Wildcats to keep it close and possibly eek out a win.
I also look for Wisconsin to get back to business this week. Line up and pound that ball right at the teeth of the Beavers. If Wisky comes to play, they should pound Oregon State
UGA apparently down four defensive starters... I'm starting to like your Mizzou pick
Good post Fred... I think you are right about AZ...
I have in-laws that are OKST grads, so I'm a little biased. I do think it will be a great game.
good thing Coach!
Good list but doing this without the spreads is pointless IMO.
