Someone close to this told me that. Would it be more if they joined FT? Sure
we are getting smoked by the top 4. we will smoke #6 and everyone else.
there is no doubt that the big 10 is a much more valuable conference than the ACC. a clear #2. top to bottom i don't think it's any better than the ACC nor has it been for awhile, at least not by any significant margin. not that it matters to anyone but conference pride jagoffs. i don't know about you, but i went to clemson, not ACC U.

I'm saying in my opinion that our conference schedule is terrible. If you were school x and you had to choose schools you wanted to come play in your house or you go play there. I think the acc only has a few top programs to choose from. thats the best way i can try to get that point across...and it has nothing to do with how good teams are this year. Hell maryland is undefeated, but I assume most would rather schedule wisconsin.
I agree 100% with your last sentance. But my whole problem is with what i perceive to be a terribly weak conference schedule. And my feeling that Clemson, FSU and maybe some others have to drag the rest of those schools along.
there is no doubt that clemson and fsu are dragging the bottom feeders along but, again, i don't give a shit because i don't care about the ACC. i care about clemson.
Same here, i guess I just feel that the schools we are affiliated with are actually hurting clemson(athletics). Maybe I'm taking conference affiliaton too seriously?
yes i think you are
I did a quick calculation.
Under the old TV contract, the ACC was paid $155M per year for 48 ACC conference games. That comes out to $3.23M per game.
Under the new TV contract, the ACC is to be paid $239M per year for 63 conference games. That comes out to $3.8M per game.
Taking Cory's numbers, and assuming ESPN only gets the rights to the ND ACC away games, then it comes out to roughly $4.5M - $7M per ND game played at an ACC school.
So I could see how that figure ($1M per team, $14 bump overall for the conference) is accurate.
