I think those are all fair evaluations, and I pretty much agree with all of them.
QB - Clemson - Boyd is light years better than Shaw. It's not even close.
RB - Push
WR - Clemson - and it's not even close.
OL - Clemson
DL - SCar
LB - Push
DB - Push
ST - Clemson

QB -- Clemson (and not close)
RB -- push
WR -- Clemson
OL -- Clemson

QB - How? He folds under pressure (Boyd) I agree talent wise he is better but between the ears no.
RB - Not Close - Ellington is great but we have 3 backs that are light years ahead of your 3
WR - Agreed
OL - PUSH
DL - NOT CLOSE
LB - USC by a small margin
DB - USC
ST - CU and just about everyone in the country..

If you're going to make points, at least make points that are valid - not unfounded and ignorant statements with no basis in fact.
QB - Boyd folds under pressure? Did you watch the game on Saturday? Time after time, when the pressure was on, Boyd stepped up and made a big play. Whether it was on the ground or through the air, Boyd made play after play - particularly in the 4th quarter, when the pressure was on. Meanwhile, Shaw made completing a forward pass look impossible all day; even before his injury.
RB - You have 3 RB's light years ahead of Clemson's 3? While I'm not interested in arguing the merits of Howard or McDowell, that's just another asinine statement. Lattimore is the best back of the either team, I get that - however after 1 game (which is the basis of the comparison if you've played any attention) Ellington can easily be argued as the best of the bunch. Ellington is the one who leads the nation in rushing and is the current winner of the Maxwell National Player of the Week award. And which one of your other three are RB's are 'light years' ahead of him? Davis with 4 yards? Or Miles with 3? Make no mistake, Ellington face a better front 7 than either of those two - and it looks like his performance was 'light years' ahead of theirs - and better than Lattimore's as well.
Seeing how your first two points are asinine and out-of-tough with reality, I stopped reading there because there is no point in going over the rest.

I am not going off one game here sorry, The games you guys lost last year he was very poor at handling pressure. NCSU, USC, GT, and WVA.. You can argue all you want but when teams get in Boyd's face he makes bad choices.
First of all I never said anything bad about ellington yes he would get a ton of carries for us. Secondly I never said that our three where light years better than him. I said our three are better than your three which they are. Ellington would be 1b on out team. Good for him that he is leading the nation in rushing after one game. Also good for him being Player of the week ! I am impressed. You forget Lattimore in his fist game back from Major Surgery is player of the week in the SEC. I appreciate your line of thought and its impressive that you can call someone asinine. Also you negelct the fact that we have Brandon Wilds injured currently who is a very caple back and would see time at either school.
I find it awesome that you can disregard the following its because you know that they are true and do not want to face it. Also I will go ahead and bet that I will be blacklisted for LIFE because you guys can not handle somone question you.
I find it interesting that a Staffer for this website would attack so quickly the way you have for absolutely nothing. I apologize for touching a nerve with you I would really hate to see your response if I had said something negative about DABO.
Side note Aubie will finish 8th or lower in the league this year and may not make a bowl game. Enjoy your SEC win we will see you in November looking forward to it.
USC has been so dominant on both sides of the LOS vs Clemson the past 3 years, that I'm not sure why any rational person would think this year will be any different. At least i wouldn't expect any USC fan to believe otherwise until Clemson proves it on the field. I think Boyd is very good (showed a new dimension running) and the WRs are excellent. But I saw nothing in week one that leads me to believe this year will be any different than the last 3 along the LOS. That is until Clemson proves differently on the field - until then it's just talk and some wishful thinking. I fell into the trap last year of thinking Clemson might be better, but then USC overwhelmed them on both sides of the LOS. Not going to fall for it again, but if Clemson does win in Nov then I'll be the first to say congrats.
Nothing different on the LOS? Clemson started 3 players with no experience, and another playing out of position, and rolled up 320 rushing on a very good defensive line. Of the 4 sacks allowed, 2 were on Boyd.
Most Clemson fans are pretty encouraged by how good the offensive line looked in Week 1.
This has to be the most useless and pointless thread I have ever read. USC went into a hostile environment that their opponent deemed to their "super bowl" and gutted out a hard fought victory with a hurt QB. Sure it wasn't pretty on offense, but it doesn't have to be for USC to win. klemp on the other hand played a lower tier SEC team at a "nuetral" dome site (Not a hostile environment at all) with perfect weather conditions. they had to skate by in the 4th qtr and all of sudden people wearing thick orange glasses think they are a top 10 borderline top 5 team in the country??? The comparison of the 2 games is absolutely laughable. Zac Stacy, Jordan Rodgers, and Jordan Matthews are light years ahead of anyone auburn has and Vandy is more talented on both lines and has the better secondary. Auburn is not, was not, and will never be a ranked team this season. But hey go ahead, shock the world again.

Shaq thank you! Tramel Terry..... your on the clock :)
You really do believe everything that comes out of Tony's mouth dont you?
Vandy isnt good. Winning at Vandy isnt impressive.
Vandy is a 3 or 4 win team this year.
and a 9 to 10 win team in the ACC!
Gonna be nice to avoid the ban, but i bet jim grobe would disagree. Vandy beat the brakes off wake that yall barely sqeaked by. These were late season games-- not ooeners with all the wildcards, sandbags etc. Vandy will play wake and auburn....i will holler back then
If i'm a Clemson fan I would be encouraged as well - not saying you shouldn't be. It was a super solid win. Both USC and Clemson had good wins. I'm just saying don't expect any USC fans to be nervous or scared about what Clemson does against other teams. I fell into that trap last year, but it doesn't matter what Clemson does against teams who aren't as good as USC along the LOS. It matters what they do against USC. After 3 years I think USC fans have earned that right, while Clemson fans will take games like Auburn as encouragement that this year might be different.
For example - last year Clemson had 624 yards of offense and 238 rushing against Auburn. But it didn't translate to the USC game. That is going to happen all year - the season is always a roller coaster full of good and bad performances.
Stop basing things off of last season...this is a different season with different personal. Stop overrating your Vandy win. You guys barely got pass Vandy even with help from ref's not calling things.
QB: Boyd (THIS season there is no question) Clemson
RB: Lattimore had less yards on more carries against an inferior DL this year. Also, our OL seems to be the better run blockers right now. Clemson
OL: Clemson (NOT a push, you got pushed around by Vandy's dline)
Also, you clearly didn't watch games last year. No clemson fan who had any objectivity thought we had a good chance of beating SCar. Our "high powered offense" was not even close to what it was supposed to be.
Chad Morris has stated over and over that it isn't a classic no huddle. It is a power running set with misdirections to set up passes.
Last year we didn't have the personal or OL to run it down anyone's throats. We had to rely far too heavily on our passing game. Also -> Tajh got fat.
And by your "expecting to win" mentality, Clemson fans should expect to win every single year considering the record of our rivalry.
I disagree - after the Auburn game and the 8-0 run, pretty much every Clemson fan thought you were going to crush USC. I even thought you were 10-14pts better than USC at that point. But when you went up against teams who could control the LOS then things changed. Like I said - after 3 years of watching USC dominate the LOS, I have no reason to believe this year will be different after one week. And it's not because of last year - it's because IMHO by the time the game rolls around, USC will again be better on both sides of the LOS.
Remember - Clemson's DL doesn't play USC's DL and vice versa. Auburn ran it effectively against Clemson - very effectively at many points. USC has a much better running game than Auburn (my opinion). I think Clemson is weaker on the DL this year vs last and has less depth. USC is as good or better in the running game with Lattimore and Shaw and the OL will be fine. It's basically the same guys as last year just one year older. On the other side - I agree Tajh made plays with his feet that he didn't make last year. But Auburn's DL isn't on the same level as USC's, and Clemson moved the ball last year on Auburn similar to how they did this year. So no - i'm not worried about it - not until it's proven on the field. My guess is you'll get a similar reaction from many USC fans if you're looking for them to be worried. I was fooled last year, but you know the saying...fool me once...

Are you suggesting auburn is not a good team? How is that possible? They are affiliated with the SEC. I was led to believe that made them great by default.
Congrats on your big win vs Michigan btw
This can't be real.
It's not. I applaud the effort Carolina strut put into that hilarious post.
I'm sure this will be your reaction to 4 in row
Trying not to just go off week one i would say Clemson has the better QB and Receivers and special teams while Scar has better RB and D-line. Everything else is a push. But, based on week one only i agree with OP.

LMAO at Vandy being a hostile environment. That's a 40,000 seat stadium that as of the day before wasn't sold out. That is not a hostile environment.
Also Auburn >>>>>>>>>>>> Vandy.
Holy shit at the retarded scar fans in here. Where's morrell to say their qb is better again?? Lololololol
Shaw couldn't throw the corner before his shoulder got wrecked. Hello Dylan Thompson, goodnight sweet prince scar.
Man, that Auburn team y'all squeaked by sure is great!
Did you guys not tell Mississippi State how awesome Auburn was?
