Tubs to Cincy ...
I can definitely see there being some Morris to TT rumors.
It really never ends when you're a big-name OC

I could also see some Venables rumors as well.
The first name most are mentioning is: Kliff Kingsbury. TAMU OC and former TT star
If it's Kingsbury, you have to wonder if TAMU will go after Chad to be OC .... he did play there, after all.
Gonna be an interesting few days (what else is new)
I'm sure TAMU would love a 9 million dollar buy out for a new OC even If they are an alum
hahaha. I forgot he has the big buyout if he leaves for an assistant's job.
Minor detail (not)
Thought i read where it's 6.5 mill

When are people going to realize that Chad isn't going anywhere else as an OC?

I was told Kingsbury and Monken are two to watch for. More air raid guys.
Also Keith the buyout on Chad as OC is steep.
I just mentioned the buyout two posts above. $6.5 mill
I agree... one of those two
Why the hell would you leave to go to cincy???
b/c Cincy is going to be a part of the most dominant conference in college football in a few years...
This is a Tweet from Bruce Feldman from CBS Sports.
Hearing Texas Tech will try & move fast. Will look closely at A&M OC/TTU great Kliff Kingsbury & Clemson OC Chad Morris
He used to work with the Cincy AD when Tubbs was at Auburn plus he was never really happy at Tech trying to fit in after Leach. His days were numberedd the moment his hand grabbed that headset.
My favorite all time Bob Knight quote..
If A&M believes he's their guy, I don't think the buyout is going to stop them from offering. They've got money.
However, we'll see if Morris would still be interested given that it is still Sumlin's team, or so you'd think.
Hocutt and Venables are big buddies but i'd have to believe the local support there would be for Kingsbury first and foremost. He's an offensive guy in an offensive league, and is a disciple of the much revered Mike Leach in Lubbock.
As to why Tubbs left TTU, he was sniffing around every job open the last 2 years. Just a bad fit for him there.
The bigger question here that NO ONE is asking is this: Why the hell did Tubs leave Texas Tech for Cincy?? Weird move if you ask me....
It's doubtful we would go after him if Kliff leaves, we would have to pay a lot and Sumlin is capable of bringing in someone to replace Kliff for a lot less
I believe there'd be some backlash from tech faithful if they hired chad morris, he's an Ag and they absolutely hate us
LOL. No way they are going to pay that buyout and give Morris $1.8 million a year. Because if he thought seriously about going, you know we'd raise his salary to $1.7 million a year or so.
I just heard that Morris will be in Lubbock tomorrow for an interview. Any truth to this?
where did you hear that?
I got this from a different message board (not a recruiting/team/college athletics site, just a good general discussion board that has some pretty reliable folks on these things) that has been a great source of info for me in the past. There was no link attached, so I am proceeding cautiously.
If he leaves I just hope he coaches the bowl game because if he doesnt we will have a dabo calling the shots...OUCH!!!
