Just curious since you are promoting your site. What are you basing your opinions off of? How is a wide receiver that has 82 catches, 1400 yards and 18 TD's have consistency issues? I am not sure I understand you assessment of not taking what's available? Nuk is the definition of a possession receiver.
Poor analysis. Are you sure you didn't mix up Nuk with another wr?
Nuk has no consistency issues with catching balls, in fact he has the best body control and hands in the draft.
He also always goes north south and comparing him to a horizontal rb is inaccurate.
Nuks only weaknesses are break away speed and ability to add more weight to his frame
Thanks for reading and providing feedback. On these film room pieces we are identifying strengths and weaknesses even if the weaknesses aren't glaring. Nuk did put up tremendous numbers and Clemson had a very productive and high powered offense. However, in scouting we look only at how the player will project to the NFL. Hopkins projects as a 1st or 2nd round pick and we think very highly of his skill set. We've watched every one of his targets from multiple games and at times he does lose focus and drop balls that NFL receivers catch. That doesn't mean it's a big weakness compared to other receivers, just his biggest weakness compared to his other skills. Hopkins is one of the most well rounded wide outs in the draft.
As far as the running after the catch assessment: Occasionally, he'll backtrack or run laterally to try and break a huge play when he could just take the yards right in front of him. In the NFL, cutting those plays back will almost never work. That's a very minor criticism though.
Thank you for taking the time to read the quick write up.
He does have good hands but has the occasional bad drop. That's why it's inconsistency and not poor hands. Other more talented/experienced scouts have written similar statements.
Body control is excellent.
I agree with this part of your assessment wrote. ^^^^
Nuk is an Boldin type physical possession type receiver but more explosive. 1st or 2nd is about right.
