Dabo to sign a 6 year contract

Checked after Joe Schad (the purse dog) reported. My contact said that is in fact true.
We discuss....
My thoughts are that is way too long of a contract.

I thought it was just a 3 year extension giving him 6 years total?

What does a coaching contract mean anymore, really?
Only pertinent info is how much the buyout runs, IMO. Every coach is on a one-year deal unless the buyout is so high it takes 2 years to drum up the courage/support to oust a guy.

Those are my thoughts as well. The buyout is really the only significant number.
It's also my understanding that it's a 3 year extension to the 3 he has remaining = 6 years total.

That's correct they just redo it as a 6 year. The information I got was they offered 5 and Dabo wanted 6.

I was surprised to hear the as well. 5 is standard and I could understand that, but I suppose the only pertinent number is the buyout as others have mentioned.
