What are your sources saying? It does seem that with Dabo's comments and then GSwaim's tweets that things aren't exactly unfolding how we had hoped. And yes, I know that what Dabo says doesn't matter.

Swaim likes to do some Texas bashing now & again. Read his twitter feed, he is acting like Texas can unilaterally impose its will on the Big 12. Texas just has one vote. EVEN IF Texas wanted ND as a partial member instead of Clemson as a full member, which isn't the case, Texas couldn't just force it down everyone's throats. The majority would have to vote for it.

Thats good to hear. I do wonder why he would be tweeting about all of this. Hopefully he just has some bad info.

How has Texas ever "backstabbed" a fellow conference member?

I was told all of the Big 12 members, including Texas, signed off on Clemson & FSU at the very beginning of May. Talks between FSU/Clemson and the Big 12 had been going on for a while before that through 3rd parties.

Texas does want ND (as do other Big 12 members) and the Longhorns have made it clear that their position is the Big 12 should not go above 12 UNLESS ND is involved.

The only way I could see something negative for Clemson happening is if ND signed an agreement saying they would be a partial member until 2015 when their NBC contract ended and at that point in time they would become a full member of the Big 12.

anything else out there about this? He is continuing to tweet that B12 is no longer interested and have moved on. Whats up with all of this?
