You don't want it too late, because 1. You don't want to give a kid a chance to fall in love with someone else first and 2. If he's still undecided going into the last weekend or two, it's very difficult on coaches. They're playing with the numbers. They're always looking at backup plans. The later something drags on, the more that impacts things.

Auburn got away with it somewhat this time.

But typically, only the truly elite powers can go this late.

It's probably fine where it is.

I guess the point I'm trying to make is so many other schools are getting these high profe recruits on officials so close to signing day. it seems to weigh so heavily bc it's the last thing on their minds
