The clemson perception

  • I am so sick and tired of Clemson having the perception of a finesse soft team. It just pisses me off, but we havent done anything to dispell that notion. We have to sit and listen to the talking heads on espn basically laugh at us. As someone who loves this school it just makes me furious.

We havent helped ourselves by losing to fsu and sc but I dont think we are a soft team at all. I think we made progress in this area this year, that being said I think we still need to make big changes in our S&C routines. We are starting to get OL and DL in here that can play big boy football. I think the addition of paul hogan on offense helped us tremendously in that area, and Im excited to see what he can do this off season.

I think we are headed in the right direction, but its been a slow process especially when you bring in a small class in 09. Dabo has shown the ability to make the tough decisions so I hope that he will again see the two areas that need to be fixed this off season for us to take the next step.

The tone needs to be set during winter conditioning. It is time to take that next step, and it absolutely starts this winter. Any player that isn't puking on the first day isn't trying hard enough.

  • Starts with recruiting up front. Plain and simple.

  • I think weve been adressing that lately...especially on the DL. I like some of the young OL like beasley, norton, region, battle, and I think destesfano will surprise. I like the maverick morris kid and if we can get crowder then we will be on our way...but we have also got develop them better

Unabashed "coot" here and want to say up front that I am coming over here in a most objective manner, that said, have to admit I was amazed that no teammates came over after Swearinger's reaction to the hit on Ellington - one of your team slogans/mantras is "All In", just looked like to me he was kind of left hangin' and could give a "soft" impression. I could see it if were on the road, but at home?, was surprised not one CU player at the very least got in his face for posing, any here feel the same?
